About Underwater Mexico
We are very passionate about nature and specifically about the ocean and the underwater life. Every day we see the vulnerability of our seas and the animals, and the impact (mass) tourism can leave on the environment.
Our mission at Underwater Mexico is to provide the best experiences in and outside of the water, without leaving a negative impact on the environment. That is why we offer personalized tours and activities in small groups or private, in which we aim to be as sustainable and eco-friendly as possible. We provide (snorkel) excursions, dive courses and -trips, with a high level of service and quality. We put the interest of nature and of our guests first.
What makes us different?
To minimize our ecological footprint, we strive to be free of single use plastics and to produce zero waste. We buy most of the food and snacks on our tour from small local businesses and the girl with the fruit stand around the corner. And we provide alternative sun protection to our guests in order to avoid using harmful chemicals that might end up in the ocean, to just name a few examples.
We also actively try to help nature by participating in coral restoration projects and we regularly organize and participate in beach clean-ups. We are proud partners, donors and volunteers for the Manta Caribbean Project.
As a company consisting of just two persons, we are nothing without the people we work with. We depend on drivers, captains, crew and other service providers. We have worked with the same people for many years, and over the years we have come to know them, trust them and love them, we consider them friends, even part of our family. We therefore find it very important to treat them with the utmost respect, which includes paying all of them a fair price for their services. Apart from a healthy and fun work ambiance, this also results in an amazing quality and service. You receive what you give.

As guides we are passionate and enthusiastic, we don’t just share our knowledge and love for the nature and culture, but also make sure you fully enjoy the day and have the best time. All according to the philosophy of: Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints.
